A Special Anniversary 😁

Hi, guys!!!!!!  It's been soooooooooooooooooo long, and I know it.  It's actually been two years, two months, one week, and a day since I last wrote here, and I can explain.  A whole lot happened in that time, and some things had to pipe low for a while, one of which is this blog. Unintentional, but very necessary.  I'm back, and will be showing up a little differently cos I had to redefine consistency more deliberately.  Let me bring you up to date with my life in the last two years.  Right after my last post , I discovered I was pregnant and spent the year 2024 growing a child in my womb.  Then I spent the whole of 2025  breastfeeding, caring for him, transitioning him to solids, and preparing him for weaning. All of that happened while  minding my business and showing up in other areas of life. On Tuesday, he became eighteen months old, and that calls for celebration because it's a special anniversary for me. Just so you know, I'm usually...

Chronicles of a Church Girl

Hi guys, welcome here. How do you do?  Today, I'm talking about something that occupies the right ventricle of my heart; the church of God.  I love the gathering of believers. It's not something that can be taken away from me. I'm always on the lookout for camp meetings, retreats, concerts, conferences, and what have you. Anywhere the word of God is preached soundly, that's my favorite hangout.  Not because I don't know of other events, but it's more difficult to carry my body t here. I'm learning to network outside the church now. But no matter the events I attend, the church does it the most for me when we talk about permitting friendships.  Most of the solid friendships I have today began in the churches I've attended. Even my husband had to be in the church I was attending at the time we met for me to even see him.😆😆 It's that serious. One of my friends told me one time that I wouldn't have met him if I wasn't a church girl, cos there...

Marriage and Driving

Hi guys, long time no post, right?  No vex, jhoor.  Life has been happening and this space had to take a back seat for a while.  I'm here now. Where did we stop?  So I was somewhere one time and this argument or discussion about marriage came up between two people. One of the people said marriage is not compulsory, which I agree with. Then he went ahead to say things about the marriage institution that got me nearly infuriated.  I was still quiet though until he said: "thank God I have just boys, I'll tell them to do open marriage or have baby mamas, no need for marriage". I can't say for sure if he was serious about this statement or just playing around, but my quietness about the whole discussion came to an end. I had to speak up.  Then I told him there's nothing wrong with the marriage institution, which is true. I'm sick and tired of people making it sound like marriage is the problem. From the beginning, it never was, and never will be.  Now, imag...

Hello, September!

It's September already…wow!  Welcome here, how do you do? Happy new month, dear reader.  Prayer is the key Prayer is the key Prayer is the master key  Jesus started with prayer  And ended with prayer  Prayer is the master key. Do you remember that rhyme from children's church? Lol. I do. Hope prayer is still your key o? Cos there are many doors to be opened in this life.  And this is not the month to do life without prayer. Actually, life generally cannot be properly done without prayer, so this month, have a greater consciousness of that. Prayer changes you and it changes things.  It gives you access to the supernatural which is your real life.  Prayer is the master key. It was, it is, and it will always be.  Before you plan, pray. While you plan, pray, after planning, pray. I love to pray, I hope you do too. I know God answers prayers and I've seen Him answer my prayers. Whoosh! I have proof, you too can have.  A quick story: so last m...

How to Approach the End of a Month

Hi guys, welcome here. How do you do? So I started this month's writing by writing on how to have a happy new month. What better way to end this month's writing than this piece you're about to read? Hahaha  So the month of August 2022 folds up in about 18 hours time, never to return again for life. Phew! Isn't that something to think about? 2,678,400 seconds of our life are off our lifetime just like that. Or better put, 2,678,400 heartbeats are off our entire heartbeats on earth.  Truly, our days are numbered, but how are we approaching the numbers on the calendar? With this consciousness or just sleepwalking through the days?  There's about little you can still do in this month, however the benefit of reviewing the past month is to help prepare to have a better next month. And like the title says; you approach the end of the month by having a detailed and honest review of how you spent your time. Judge yourself well.  Go back to the goals you had and score yourse...

Friendship. Good Old Friendship.

Hi guys, welcome here. How do you do?  Today, I write about a topic that has been in existence from ages past; Friendship. Good old friendship. One time I was discussing something one of my friends did for me with my sister and she said: "your friends are superstars, love that for you". I took a screenshot and posted it on my WhatsApp status, with a promise to my viewers that I'll write about friendship one of these days.  So here, promise is about to be fulfilled. Now, let it be known that this post alone cannot do justice to all I have to write. There'll be other posts with time. So enjoy this tip of the iceberg.  I can't keep many friends. Truth is, I really cannot meet up with the emotional demand. I'm usually drained by relationships and so most times I just step out of some relationships to recharge and get myself.  However, last year, one of the things I set out to achieve was to expand my circle of friends. Funny right? But I decided to stretch mysel...
