How to Approach the End of a Month

Hi guys, welcome here. How do you do?

So I started this month's writing by writing on how to have a happy new month. What better way to end this month's writing than this piece you're about to read? Hahaha

So the month of August 2022 folds up in about 18 hours time, never to return again for life. Phew! Isn't that something to think about? 2,678,400 seconds of our life are off our lifetime just like that. Or better put, 2,678,400 heartbeats are off our entire heartbeats on earth.

Truly, our days are numbered, but how are we approaching the numbers on the calendar? With this consciousness or just sleepwalking through the days?

There's about little you can still do in this month, however the benefit of reviewing the past month is to help prepare to have a better next month.

And like the title says; you approach the end of the month by having a detailed and honest review of how you spent your time. Judge yourself well.

Go back to the goals you had and score yourself. How did you perform? Could you have done better? What were the reasons you under performed? How can you fix that in the next month? And so on.

From DDK, I learned the term reverse accountability. It simply means being accountable to yourself. That requires a high level of discipline and you can do it.

Just like you submit to people checking in on your progress and helping you do the needful, in this case you submit to yourself, and of course, I assume you hold yourself in high esteem.

I still remember her voice in that webinar. "Do you need accountability to eat or watch movies? Why do you then need accountability for your goals?" You can hold yourself accountable for smashing your goals and do it well.

Now, this is not to rule out the need for accountability, but I mean, it'd only work as much as we do the work.

So in reviewing the last month and preparing for the next, be sincere and hold yourself accountable for your shortcomings. Then prepare to do better.

You can do better, there's still time. Pick up your dreams, goals and plans. Dust them off and begin again. Make things happen in September. And this is not limited to the end of a month. It could be the end of a season, quarter, year, or even week. Just inculcate reviews to your schedules, cos an examined life is always a more productive life. Selah.

I for one did not have the month go as planned. In fact, none of my major plans came to pass. And to a very large percentage, it was out of my control. Way out of my control. And that was the most annoying part of it.

And for what I'll call minor plans, which were within my control, I know where I faltered.

And I took my own advice just before I dished it out here. I returned to the drawing board and planned again. I know where I faltered before, I'll be setting up structures to help me do better.

Amidst the failed plans and unaccomplished goals, I understand that I am not without the ability to choose. I still have a choice. And that in itself is very powerful.

So, by choice, I am ending this month with gratitude to God. That there weren't more disappointments than I could have handled.

And I am going into the new month with a heart full of faith again that this month will be better. That my plans will not fail and my goals will not go unaccomplished.

I believe God and sincerely hope you do so too.

Love and light,

Nancita✨

How to have a Happy New Month

A.U.G.U.S.T! T he month of new beginnings! Happy new month, guys.  Apart from my birth month and the month of December, August is another month I like. No reason in particular. IN THIS BUILDING; TWENTYTHREE ROOMS

"The third stair in the second floor of this building.."  That's the illustration I used to announce my new age yesterday. I believe I am a building under construction in the hands of God the Constructor and so are you. So twenty three rooms here (like the rooms in an actual building) refers to some of the things that comprises my being. Some are my interests, likes, values and others my favorite things.   Over the years, I've found it very hard to respond to "tell me about yourself" And no, it's not from a place of unawareness, more like confusion or so. This is because a lot of things come to mind AT ONCE and the struggle becomes what to say exactly... So today, to make it easy for you, I decided to let you into the rooms of my heart. These are some of the things I hold dear..twenty three of them, because I just turned Twenty three. Go on your bathroom break now, grab a drink and enjoy. Let's go... ✓I have an amazing relationship with God.  I am

Information Overwhelm; How Do You Deal?

In today's world, there's a huge demand and supply of information. We are in the age where information comes looking for you, for example; Google ads and the likes. You really don't need to actively search for certain information, unless you want a deeper and more detailed knowledge of a particular subject. It has proven to be great as some people actually get to learn all they can. But what happens when your intake is so much, compared to your execution? I hear there's a possibility for constipation to occur. You know like when you feed and digestion rate is slower than normal, it causes constipation.  Asides the digestive system, what if I mention that you might be suffering from 'knowledge constipation'? There's just too much information stored in your brain with little to no one being put to use. That's a not-so-good place to be in, you know. How about you become more selective about what you take in mentally? Just like you won't eat any and ever

Running the Year Intentionally

Hi guys, HAPPY NEW YEAR.  2023 is already three days old. Can you imagine? Did you review the previous year? Have you made plans for this year? More importantly, have you started running with the plans? If yes, how are you running? Just running or running intentionally? You should be running intentionally, we all should run through the year intentionally.  You see, no one can depend on vibes to run the year. Vibes fade, eventually. It's a new year and for most people, resolutions have been made. Visions and plans have been written here and there, which are all good. But the vibes that come with the new year will soon fizzle out. It's fickle. I think mine has fizzled out already sef 😆  The real thing that can carry you through the year in fulfilling your plans and converting your goals from idea to I did it is discipline. Intentional discipline. You must commit to showing up, no matter your mood, emotion, or feeling.  According to the Wheel of Life Theory, there are about twel
