It's September already…wow!
Welcome here, how do you do?
Happy new month, dear reader.
Prayer is the key
Prayer is the key
Prayer is the master key
Jesus started with prayer
And ended with prayer
Prayer is the master key.
Do you remember that rhyme from children's church? Lol. I do. Hope prayer is still your key o? Cos there are many doors to be opened in this life.
And this is not the month to do life without prayer. Actually, life generally cannot be properly done without prayer, so this month, have a greater consciousness of that.
Prayer changes you and it changes things.
It gives you access to the supernatural which is your real life.
Prayer is the master key. It was, it is, and it will always be.
Before you plan, pray. While you plan, pray, after planning, pray.
I love to pray, I hope you do too. I know God answers prayers and I've seen Him answer my prayers. Whoosh! I have proof, you too can have.
A quick story: so last month I went on a 12-hour prayer retreat and I went with my prayer journal. This journal has a list of prayers for every area of my life. I take it along when I go for long prayer stretches or retreats like this and I pray every single prayer in the book. From the first category to the last.
As I opened it that day, I read prayers I wrote down late last year and as I read through, I realized one major prayer point had been answered months ago and I didn't even remember it was written there. Lol. I just went ahead to thank God.
Now, the boast is not even in our ability or capacity to pray or the length of time we pray. Never.
The boast is in the One who we pray to. El-Roi. The God thay sees and hears us, even the silent prayers of our hearts.
Sometimes we pray alone, other times, we pray with people, but pray we must.
Sometimes we pray in our understanding, other times we pray in tongues, but pray we must.
Sometimes we pray out loud, other times we pray quietly, but pray we must.
Sometimes we pray for long, other times we pray briefly, but pray we must.
Sometimes we pray the word, other times we pray our words, but pray we must.
Sometimes we pray when we feel like, other times we pray when we don't feel like, but pray we must.
There is absolutely no reason to not pray. Prayer is not an activity, it is a lifestyle for your lifetime.
We don't learn to pray overnight, but over time and the best time to start is now. There's nothing you cannot pray about.
You don't learn to pray by learning to pray or reading about prayer. You learn to pray by praying.
Pray for your life
Pray for your family
Pray for your business
Pray for your career
Pray for your nation
Pray for everything
Pray and don't faint
This is not to say challenges will not come, or you'll not react in flesh sometimes i.e be anxious, worried, scared and what have you. But prayer makes you rise above all of that. Cos the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much.
I, for one, still get moody when confronted with unpleasant situations. I still resort to thinking and even crying. However, the moment I remember that I forgot to pray, that marks the beginning of the end of that moodiness, tears and whatever.
Like I already said, you can pray alone or with people, in your understanding or in tongues, at home or in church, with your words or with the word, but in all you do, just pray.
I highly recommend praying the word, cos like we have weapons for war, the word is one of the believer' weapons. It is a believer's sword. It is a very legitimate weapon of war. Praying the word is most powerful and like one of my favorite teachers will say: whatever you see in the word, you can have in your world. You enforce that by prayer.
And even when distractions come at you like this person…
You keep praying because you can only solve distractions by focusing on what you're being distracted from, and not what is distracting you.
Prayer like any other productive activity will attract distractions, but you can't let that stop you. Not now, not ever.
Are you excited to pray? Now go ahead and have a prayer full month of September.
Love and light,
Nancita✨

Thank you so much for triggering the necessity for prayer through your write up. I am blessed, plus I love how you have balanced the lengthiness of prayer Vs the lifestyle of prayer which is our nature as a believerπ₯
